Uma Intensely Nourishing Hair Oil Review
One of my favorite lines of beauty and wellness oils, hands down, is Uma. They make 100% natural & organic luxury oil blends that are handcrafted in small batches by experts in India who use Ayurveda and aromatherapy in their formulas. Also, their products and packaging are elegant and über luxe. Am I right or am I right?
They recently launched their Intensely Nourishing Hair Oil and my follicles are singin’ all kinds happy sappy love songs. This oil is mega lightweight, with zero greasy residue, and it provides a Kapow! dose of moisture – my crusty, straw hair is beyond grateful. I’m always nervous about using hair products in general because very few of them actually protect my pink locks and help keep them looking their pinkiest. This stuff is color-safe, though, which I’m so stoked about.
If you’ve got frizzies or out-of-control hair (or both – that’s me!), this stuff is everything.
The 411: It has clarifying extracts of grapefruit and lemon remove impurities from pores as they stimulate the hair’s natural growth process, enhancing elasticity and strengthening hair from root to end. Potent botanicals such as hibiscus and yerba de tago rejuvenate hair that has been stripped by over-processing and environmental pollutants, while Indian gooseberry and cypriol stimulate the roots for lustrous growth and to preserve hair pigment and prevent premature greying. Grape seed oil regulates naturally occurring oils in the scalp, to manage excess production and ensure hair is healthy and strong – never greasy. A healthy balance of jojoba and moringa add strength deep nutrition for hair that shines with health!
Ingredients: Essential oils of Grapefruit, Lemon, Cypriol, Hibiscus, Yerba de Tago in a base of Grapeseed, Indian Gooseberry, Moringa and Jojoba oils.
Hair benefits aside, it smells SO incredibly beautiful! It has a earthy, woodsy, sweet vibe that I can’t stop sniffing.
And I have zero clue if this oil is OK to use on the face and body as well (couldn’t find anything about this on Uma’s website), but I’ve been rockin’ it errwhere (especially mah mug), and it leaves my skin so silky smooth and soft. It’s loading with anti-aging ingredients, so I figured, “why the hell not?”
If you’re looking to infuse moisture back into your hair, stimulate growth, and help stop the greying process (mhm!!)… all while smelling like a back-to-nature earth goddess, def check this fancy ish out. xo
